British football legend Wayne Rooney has received several hair transplants in his young life. In 2011 (when he was just 25 years old), Mr. Rooney confirmed that he got a hair transplant at The Harley Street Clinic in London (UK). At the time, he posted the following on Twitter (now X):

“Just to confirm to all my followers I have had a hair transplant. I was going bald at 25 why not.”

In 2013, Wayne Rooney got a second hair transplant. It is estimated that he received 2,500 grafts in 2011, and an additional 1,000 grafts in 2013. For a total of 3,500 grafts.

So how have Wayne Rooney’s hair transplants stood up over the course of the past 15 years? In the image on the right, you can see Wayne Rooney’s hair in 2025 at the age of 40.

It seems like the results are decent, assuming that he is not using any hair loss concealer. You can also see more photos of Mr. Rooney and his hairline from his Instagram posts. Since he got follicular unit extraction (FUE) procedures, he does not have any strip scars at the back of his head.
