It has been a long time since I wrote a post on celebrity hair loss or regrowth.
For the past 24 hours, Russian Telegram CEO Pavel Durov has dominated the news cycle due to his sudden arrest in France yesterday. Telegram apparently has 900 million global users, driven by its hard-core approach to free speech.
There are numerous conspiracy theories floating around as to the reason(s) behind his arrest. Twitter (now “X”) CEO Elon Musk has come out in full support of Mr. Durov, even initiating the trending hashtag #FreePavel.
Many people think that Mr. Musk is concerned about his own potential future arrest, or at least the clamping down of free speech on the X platform.
It has long been thought that 53-year old Elon Musk has likely had several hair transplants in his life. He started significantly balding in his 20s. However, Mr. Musk jokingly credits “working on his Crown Chakra” for the hair regrowth success.
Pavel Durov and his Hair System
While reading about 39-year old Pavel Durov today, I was amazed to see his before and after hair growth transformation. A topic that has dominated a large part of the online discussion in the aftermath of his arrest.
Almost everyone in the hair loss world agrees that he wears a hair system (sometimes mistakenly called a hairpiece or wig). Some of the news articles and Reddit discussions also suggest a hair transplant, but I highly doubt that this kind of result is possible with hair restoration procedures. Dr. Gary Linkov agrees and thinks that it is a hair system or a quality modern wig (not common in the past):
Pavel Durov and Elon Musk’s Love of Children
Pavel Durov and Elon Musk:
- Are both multi-billionaires.
- Both run world leading social media platforms.
- Both wanted their scalp hair back, and managed to do so in different ways. And both likely started balding early in their 20s.
- Both prefer not living with a wife. Mr. Durov never seems to have been married.
- Both claim to be extreme supporters of free speech.
- Mr. Durov does not own a home. Mr. Musk is known for his aversion to owning homes, and often couch surfs.
- And now we find out that like Mr. Musk, Mr. Durov also loves siring children and likely has over 100 kids by now via sperm donation. Easily beating Mr. Musk and his 12 children. My bet is that Mr. Musk will have at least 30 children before he dies. Especially considering that his father Errol Musk had his last child at the age of 76. And considering that Mr. Musk is obsessed with declining global fertility levels, especially in Europe and Asia.
Just a few weeks ago, Mr. Musk joked that Mr. Durov has rookie numbers compared to Mongol empire ruler Genghis Khan (who fathered 100s of children).
I think these two guys are “soulmates” in the truest sense of the word.
If Elmo is so smart why hasn’t he cured hair loss?
“Elmo” – oh man, that’s good. I’ve got to remember that one – “Elmo.”
The West is being attacked by NGOs, supranational organizations, mainstream news outlets owned by banks and self-hating liberals. These men may not have full heads of hair but they have full sets of balls which proves you don’t need hair on your head to be a real man.
They got back full heads of hair FYI (even if one is via a hairpiece). Else I would not have written the post.
Julius Caesar was bald
I have nothing against hairpieces but in no way does wearing one “get back a full head of hair”, and they certainly aren’t comparable to a hair transplant. That’s like comparing breast enlargement surgery with push-up bras.
Great post. I’ve been away from this forum for a while (trying to ignore my hair loss). Really enjoyed the read. I’m in need of a second hair transplant, have never considered a system but tbh the pictures are awesome.
I do not understand how all of the riches are bald those 2 from above + Bezos and many others and no one of them is giving a dime for hair loss cure research. Like they know cure is not possible… they must know something we do not, with such money and power.
If anyone doubts hairloss’s legitimate, sometimes crippling psychological effect, behold the billionaire men who – despite being literal masters of their universes – seek treatment. And yet society still treats hair loss as a punchline.
If billions don’t sooth the psychological impact of hairloss, nothing will. Why doesn’t society treat hair loss like it does any other serious cosmetic disability?
You are absolutely right, my friend. All the people who do not suffer from this condition are not able to understand the psychological impact of this condition. I know that hair follicles are one of the most complex parts of the human body, but with all the investment and years of investigation we should be close to a cure, and it seems that we are light years away from this, I personally have my hopes placed on Pelage, Stemson and their Japanese and Korean counterparts does not seem that they will achieve anything for decades, if they ever achieve something, hopefully PP405 will be something like a cure.
How is it that we stumble into minoxidil quite by accident in the 1970s, and it’s *still* one of the top 2 treatments? In what other area of medicine are the results that poor?
It’s 100% a system. The first one photo shows he doesn’t have the donor hair to come anywhere close to that (which would take a dozen surgeries and an insane number of grafts). There is zero way that is from transplants.
Now musk was definitely a transplant (several). Why he can’t just admit it is what I’m confused about. His response is comical. It’s clearly a transplant.
Was watching a video with pro athletes / wrestlers being unable to admit to steroid use, that’s more socially acceptable now, but perhaps hair transplants are the new taboo
I think it comes down to ego. Some just don’t want to admit it. Similar to some with plastic surgery. Even if everyone can tell they just don’t want to say. But if it’s well done (and obvious) I don’t see why not.
Durovs body is unreal; I’m sure he works hard but it probably helps being able to afford the best trainers, etc.
Durov’s hair could absolutely be a transplant. This is just coping from subpar surgeons.
He didn’t have anywhere near as bad of hairloss as Musk. Dye it dark + transplant when you’re that low of a NW and you can absolutely get that result.
