Dutasteride (Zagallo) in Japan and Kerastem Update

There have been a huge amount of hair loss related news items of interest in the past month.  Several of them probably deserved their own blog posts.

GSK Launching Dutasteride (Zagallo) in Japan

I did not realize that GSK was launching Dutasteride in Japan via the brand name Zagallo (to treat male pattern hair loss) and that this plan was delayed in late 2015. I did, however, cover the favorable Japanese GSK clinical trial results last year that are mentioned in that first link. Now comes word that Catalent’s French plant has been cleared to restart production. Note that Dutasteride was approved to treat hair loss in Japan on September 28th 2015.

It was approved for the same purpose in South Korea all the way back in 2010. In the US, it was approved to treat enlarged prostates in 2002. It is unlikely that GSK will try to get Dutasteride approved to treat hair loss in the US or EU. Make sure to read my Dutasteride (Avodart) hair growth experiences post and related comments. Note that if you are worried about Finasteride (Propecia) side effects, the more powerful Dutasteride (Avodart) will likely cause even more problem.

Kerastem Review

Since quite a few recent reader comments have mentioned Kerastem, I have to discuss Christopher1’s thread on hairsite regarding his Kerastem treatment in Switzerland. He had the treatment in early February of this year for $8,000. Unlike his well covered failed experiment with topical JAK inhibitor tofactinib, this time he went to a professional clinic to get the Kerastem treatment. Per his latest post from three days ago, he has good news to share and I quote:

“After having brought you some bad news about my Jak inhibitor trial, I finally have some good news for you. It’s not great, but it’s very good. My hair has stopped falling out. It stopped about three weeks ago, which was a bit over 2 months after my Kerastem treatment.”

Note that this is only one data point and there has been no regrowth. Moreover, and we do not know how long this cessation in hair loss will last. The rest of his post indicates that this is the first time in 15 years that his hair has stopped falling out. Kind of similar to my experience with low-dose oral Minoxidil. I find “Chrisopher1” to be a reliable and sincere person.

Other Hair Loss News

— Scientists at NYU Langone Medical Center in New York recently found the molecular pathways responsible for creating the color of skin and hair. They found that a signaling pathway known as Edn/EdnrB interacts with other pathways (in particular, with the Wnt signaling pathway). This in turn causes the proliferation of melanocyte stem cells (McSCs) that are involved in the earliest stages of skin and hair pigmentation. This suggests that targeting Edn/EdnrB signaling in McSCs can be a therapeutic approach to promote hair pigmentation retention.

— A new paper from China titled “Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway activates melanocyte stem cells in vitro and in vivo.”  Research was done in mice.

— An update on research at Japan’s Yokohama University under the leadership of Dr. Junji Fukuda. Translation required, and it is in mice only for now. Short interview with Dr. Fukuda in there that is partially lost in translation. Thanks yet again to our wonderful Japanese blog reader and commentator “nosyu” who updates me regularly about developments in Japan that are not covered by the English media. The Fukuda Lab lists hair regrowth as one of its key areas of research.

Topical methyl vanillate (a plant derived natural ingredient) increases hair count and hair mass index by inducing Wnt10b mRNA expression in the scalp. According to the study, methyl vanillate has recently been shown to activate the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway, which has become a key target in the treatment of androgenic alopecia by numerous researchers in recent years.

— I was not planning to cover this public relations type piece on Dr. James Harris, but I liked the ending: “And when Harris predicts the future of his profession, he sees stem cells and growth factors – not plucking and planting.

— I am always impressed by hair loss sufferers who go through impressive regimens and post regular updates. The latest example is “westonci” on HLT who is supposedly going through the whole of SwissTemple’s prostaglandin protocol that I have mentioned on this blog several times before.

— Talking about PGD2, an interesting new study from South Korea just came out today. It provides further evidence that prostaglandin D2 (PGD2) and its nonenzymatic metabolite, 15-deoxy prostaglandin J2 (15-dPGJ2), inhibit hair growth.

— An interesting new hair product from a company named “Reason to Believe” will soon be produced in North Carolina, based on the Alpha Keratin 60ku patent. Hard to tell how good this product will be and how long it will last (I doubt it is permanent).

Can protein shakes lead to hair loss?

— “Baldy Viking” has some videos on dermarolling and onion juice!  I just saw only part of one of those…seems interesting and not entirely crazy. I have become more of a believer in natural treatments for hair loss having at least some minor benefit.

— An interesting story of an Irish woman’s battle with alopecia cicatricial related hair loss since age 21.

Yet one more distraction for Dr. George Cotsarelis.

— In celebrity news, Rosie O’Donnell discusses her hair loss; it seems like golfer Jordan Speith may have had a hair transplant; and Charles Barkley has asked basketball superstar Lebron James to stop painting on his hair. Search this blog for my past mentions of Lebron James if you are interested in this kind of news.

And now on to medical items of interest:

CRISPR breakthrough is most clever yet, and increasingly relevant to humans.

Scientist turn skin cells into heart cells and brain cells just using drugs.

Regenerating brains of the dead.

Japan OK’s gene editing of eggs. As long-time blog readers know, the Japanese have already fast tracked clinical trials for newer regenerative medicine and stem cell treatments. Everything is moving along fast over there, and I am glad that we have both Shiseido and Dr. Takashi Tsuji based in Japan.

— As expected, the first ever penis transplant in the US got widespread global news coverage yesterday. I first heard about it via the radio in my car yesterday, then via a text message from a friend (wonder why?), and then again today via my Yahoo homepage. Bill Gates must be horrified at global priorities.

— Five-year update on face transplant recipient.

— MIT scientists and others create an artificial second skin.

  1. Just wanted to point out that it does appear Christopher 1 is a legit and sincere person. But he only trialed the topical JAK inhibitor for a month, and not nearly in the concentration that were used in the studies. It took those with AA months to start seeing results, and at much higher concentrations and vehicles of delivery different than those years by Chris. Just an FYI

    1. Yes that is why I mentioned that visiting a clinic for his Kerastem treatment is far more reliable and professional compared to a personal experiment. Thanks for your comment!

    2. I’ve seen reports of people from AA forums who have managed to regrow their hair with JAKs , but on a horseshoe pattern. What do you think this possibly means?

    3. Has anyone here ever thought about embarking on our own kind of standardized clinical trial methodology?

In other words, create a system to perform self-studies (different compounds, concentrations, time applied, etc) and standardize and categorize the information to make it easier to see what shows promise, and what doesn’t?

Obviously, it can never be as strict, rigorous or unbiased as an actual reputable study, but it might help in identifying compounds and treatments that are more effective than others.

It’s possible that if we had a large number of members, we could amass enough data to see what non-marketed compounds have more effect than others.

      Just a thought.

    4. Hi,

Sorry that is incorrect. My JAK inhibitor trial lasted about 6 months. As for the concentration, I can only say that value wise, I put a used car on my head. A few thousand dollars. The concentration started at .5 and ended at 1%. Ethanol dissolves tofactinib and is a popular vehicle for delivering several other hair loss drugs. I also had 5 mg rotating around me systemically. What is an effective dose? My guess is that there is no such thing. Perhaps time will tell us more.

  2. This is great news except for dut being released. I hope gsk won’t stop other treatments in the pipeline like sm, or histogen from hitting the market. Gsk is a huge powerful pharmaceutical company with the power to stop any competition in its path. Not liking that news about them at all . Plus dut has 10x higher sides and is dangerous. I would rather go bald than risk being impotent.

    1. 10x higher sides than Fin is BS though, no? I would take a .01% chance of being impotent over a 100% chance of being bald any time of the day.

  3. During the last 2 months I realize my right temple is going bald pretty fast (2 cm already) while being stable for more than 3 years. This side wants to meet my almost bald crown within a year it seems. Also SebDermatitis increasing on that side.

Despite all the effort we deliver, our DNA just overrules everything, doesn’t it.
I don’t think I can reach 2018 (release of Follica? / Replicell? / Histogen?) without shaving my head.

We all need new sorts of ammo quickly.

    1. Same, seems to subside in the winter months but in summer increases.

Admin, awesome discover on Christopher1. I do remember initially he didn’t feel like it did anything for him, but that’s great news for him that he’s seeing the hairloss subside.

$8k to stop hairloss with Kerastem.. seems overpriced and if he sees regrowth inside a year it could be a tough choice. Personally i can’t afford to pay that kind of money to stop the hairloss. Hopefully they can reduce the cost of the procedure.

      1. My thing is this if I am going to pay 8k for hairloss it better damn well cure it. And I don’t want to pay 8k a year for treatment.

      2. It would be one thing if it was $8K but they had even a single positive case study or example of success.

You would be paying $8K for something not approved in the US with which they haven’t been able to produce any degree of meaningful results. They don’t even have academic research supporting this, unlike most other treatments out there. For that price you could get a decent HT, years of CB0301 or Seti, ect

    2. Hi netshed. I’m in the same boat buddy. Right temple is just receding so quick. It went into over drive when I got on Rogaine last year. I think it fast forward my thinning. Sucks. I definitely won’t make 2018 at this pace. I was really hoping for SM or histogen this year but nope. 16 yrs fighting this battle and it’s just so annoying now.

  4. Give me the hair I had at 16, I’ll gladly pay 15-20k. I’m sure there’s 50 million plus people out there willing to do the same. Heck, even do financing and you’ll get even more. We’re talking a quarter to half a trillion dollar business within twenty years. I guarantee it.

  5. Hi Guy, read one of the posted URL re protein shake will lead balding to men. How many of you agree with the article? I’m not a gym junkie but enjoyed working out and have a good physic. I’m already losing lot of hair just don’t want to make it worst if to consume post workout shake after gym session. Let me know your thoughts.

    1. Don’t take protein shakes. Especially whey isolate. I took that sht and 4 months later my crown was thinning out and temples. I was on Propecia for 12 years with stable maintenance. I took protein shake and bam it fked my hair up. I regret the day I took that crap! If I hadn’t taken it I wouldn’t be on these sites looking for a cure.

    2. I think there is some truth to it, def with creatine. I swapped whey isolate for vegan protein and collagen peptide protein which I think is better

      1. I do think there is some truth to it, but i also think aswell you will think back to times when you’ve taken it and remember when you started thinning.

My opinion is that it can increase DHT in the scalp, but so can weight lifting itself. The only thing that decreases DHT would be aerobic exercise. Take what i say with a pinch of salt, i believe there is a link but also believe that it’s because our genetic makeup. We’re just people that are intolerable to DHT so taking protein shakes could make our situation worse.

  6. If kerastem can grow a ton of hair for 8k then its a complete waste. Get an HT, at least you will have new hair growth. Kerastem should cost 1k tops. 8k is just absurd and unjustified for its effects on hair loss.

    1. http://www.orangecountyhairrestoration.org/webdocuments/ADSC-hair-restoration.pdf

$8k is really too much. The process is still on going, so after 2months he has noticed it’s stopped shedding and it’s continued 3 weeks after. For me, it doesn’t make sense to pay anything over $1k, but since it’s a new treatment perhaps it will be expensive initially. In the Korean trial it looks like the regrowth timing is between 4-6months, for me it would be perfect the level of regrowth.. but for $8k no way.

      http://www.biyougeka.com/files/6014/2353/1049/case_case1_img.jpg

      Still this is good news.

  7. Just because his hair stop shedding doesn’t mean he won’t thin and bald. Rogaine stopped my shedding . I would shed 30 hairs in the shower. After 3 months of Rogaine I shed almost 0 hairs. Don’t see any in my hands when shampoo. I am thinning all over diffuse pattern quicker than when I was constantly shedding before adding Rogaine. Can anyone explain that because I can’t make any sense of it. Telogen Effluvium is the only thing I can think of.

  8. Hi Mjones, how long have you been using Rogaine? Any side effect you had since you start using Rogaine?I’m thinking to get on to Rogaine but have read a lot of negative side to it.

  9. Been on Rogaine since Nov 2014. First 2 months it regrew hair on top that was thinning and crown. It immediately started to thin my temples. A year and a half later I am below baseline and hair line is thin, top is thinning. The funny thing is I shed less hair while on Rogaine. It’s like the hair falls out terminal and skips the miniaturization cycle of mpb. It just falls out and doesn’t grow back. For me Rogaine didn’t work. For some it works great. It’s a risky decision. I recommend Propecia

  10. “My hair has stopped falling out” – how does he know? Does he do a hair count every day and track his progress? Did he get a before-and-after hair densitometer count?

Kerastem is a scam. $8,000 for something that has ZERO legitimate data? It really is easy to make a fortune scamming hair loss sufferers – if it weren’t so sad, it would be funny.

    1. It doesn’t have zero legitimate data. Look for the Korean study on Adipose stem cells on hair loss. This is what they’re doing, for $8,000 it’s super expensive.. but it’s not a scam.. it does something.

      1. You have also the right to think… He went to Geneva to do the procedure explaining the high costs. You can do it in Belgrade for 4.5k€ FYI…

  11. @mjones, I experienced thinning while on whey isolate as well. A couple years back it happened so i quit, but went back on again 3 months ago to see if it wasn’t just a coincidence. Sure enough my hair is thinning again. I’ve recently bought Naked Whey which is 100% grass fed whey concentrate, so will see if that helps. But I am convinced whey isolate will speed up hair loss.

Since you stopped, have you noticed any improvement?

    1. Hi Waiting. No my hair has gotten much worse and diffuse. Protein shake hit a spike in my dht and took me off a balanced dht level with Propecia. I have never lost so much hair on Propecia until I took whey isolate. To answer your question I’m still losing ground and have not recovered. It’s been 3 years since I stopped whey isolate

      1. Thanks for the reply. I did recover the last time i quit, that is why i decided to try again. If the whey concentrate does the same then I’m staying away from whey protein for good. It sucks because protein shakes really helps me bulk up.

        1. I know buddy, isolate got me super jacked up with big growth in muscles. My hair took a toll. I was taking whey concentrate for years before without an issue. Might have lost a bit of hair bit isolate fked my hair up quick! Don’t ever use it. I regret the day I touched it. I just eat a lot more and not take whey protein.

    2. I dont think whey isolate speeds Up hair loss. The only connection I can think of is a higher testosterone concentration because of the protein diet , but should be actually good and not affect to much hair loss .. Anyway I experienced my first loss when I was on creatin and whey, I was 20 back then, but l really think by now, it could have been a little trigger but I would have started the loss anyway maybe a few months later ! Regards

  12. The vitamin article is very interesting. Only shoes you that vitamins are often overlooked and poorly discovered. The last vitamin discovered was in 1948 in the form of Vitamin B12 and that was when technology wasn’t as good as now. With the current technology, the medical world could have discovered more and more vitamins but instead they are too busy with poisoning people with drugs, drugs and drugs.
Probably 20 years from now we will see news on the internet with the title:
“A DEFICIENCY OF VITAMIN Q HAS BEEN FOUND TO BE THE REAL CAUSE OF PATTERN BALDNESS AND THIS PARTICULAR VITAMIN ARE FOUND IN ABUNDANCE IN WATER” How funny would that be. LOL.

  13. Hey admin, good summary, thx.
Wanted to ask, have you heard any news on where one could obtain and how to prepare methyl vanillate ? I read the study too and its interesting, but not sure if thats something we could purchase and try out.
    Thanks bud!

  14. guys we should ask Dr Brett King of Yale to test the topical formulation of jak inhibitors on MPB, since angela is more interested in AA…

    1. He’s balding, himself. I can’t imagine he’s not slapping a little on his own head to see what happens.

  15. Bodybuilding protein shakes definitely increase balding. But I think its more the addatives that make it that way. The creatine, dhea, etc is what speeds it up I think. Im taking soy protein shakes now without the extra crap in it and have seen no increase in hair loss. I work out heavily though at least 5 days a week and im curious how much less hairfall id see if I stopped completely. Sucks doesnt it? The only thing that can help balding dudes look more attractive is working out…which in turn can increase the rate at which you bald.

    1. I heard that soy isnt a good source of protein. It increases the level of female hormone wich destroy the process of building muscles.

      1. Yes, that’s what i’ve heard. Hopefully this new whey concentrate i’m taking will be better since it does not have soy or any preservatives.

      2. In large doses, yes. A lot of plant based protein doesn’t provide all essential amino acids either. That’s why you need to mix several type of plant based proteins to get the essential mix for muscle gain. Hemp protein seems to be a good alternative to dairy based protein.

  16. From what ive gathered from all the posts, there is no legit treatment coming out anytime for at least 3 years?

  17. @Rancimango, Polichems topical Fin could be released within long as they are in phase 3. Besides that, no nothing. But, that does not change the fact that its cool that we can keep ourselves updated on this site and follow the progress and maybe see a little light at the end of the looooooooong tunnel:-)

  18. thorn medical is ajoke admin if you don’t believe me ask them to send you the before after treatment photos .

        1. Up the pics to flickr, photobucket or any other image sharing site and post the links here. How hard is that?

  19. I would like to point out that none of us really know how the hairloss market will be in 3 years. We really don’t. Drugs could be in clinical trials right now doing very well that we don’t even know about. Everyone take a deep breathe and keep riding out this nightmare. It will end-at least it will get better.

  20. Im sure we will have better options than minoxidil in the next 3 years, but its going to be more costly, of course.

  21. Guys, no one wants to hear this, but really, the best thing to do is prepare yourself mentally for being bald. Most likely, it is going to happen. It may take years, if you are lucky, but it is going to happen. Start thinking about your new look, how you will dress, and however else to maintain some level of attraction. Instead of being a nervous wreck every day, worrying about your hair, just accept that it is going to happen to you, and say that is fine. I know that it feels like you are losing your identity, but you will get a new one. Like my buddy who lost his legs. He was messed up for awhile, but the mind has a funny way of adapting. He is now probably more positive then he has ever been. If something comes out to treat this issue, awesome, but please don’t count on it. Just look at yourself every day, and be thankful for the hair that you have on that particular day. Don’t fear the inevitable. Most of you are men. Be men.

    1. Must say, this is the best option from all the treatments till now :) When the cure will be here, to stand out men might shave full head and that will be style…

    2. I refuse to accept being bald before my 30th birthday. I don’t care what it takes, or what it costs, but that is a reality that is completely unacceptable to me. I legitimately don’t know if I will be capable of enjoying things anywhere close to 100 percent if I become a chrome dome.

      1. I was in the same boat for awhile. I am nearly 30 now. I may go bald before some of my friends, but stats show most of them will be bald or have bad hair eventually. You only live once. Don’t let hair keep you from enjoying it. I keep coming to this website because I am interested in the news, but I don’t expect anything. I expect to one day have to shave my head, and that is fine. Keeping working out, take care of yourself, read, get some tats – if that is what you are into. Express yourself in other ways. Be unique. That’s all you got.

  22. you have right ddog it would be bettere if i have ever listeb your story before i made a bad jair trabsplabt i need the guts of your friend to conpronise with it,
i think better days are conmingg guys there is a lot of work being done under the radar and we don’t know anything about them .they know a lot about hair ageing stem cells gene therapy regeneration regrowth growth factors vitamins ds rna than ever and the cure will need only one clinical trial in people , thank you admin who give us the opportunity to express ourselves . i think we can make revolution we are the same kind baldnmen be proud for it . we should giving hi5 on the streeets baldmen united

  23. Yes yoda, millions of men and women with androgenetic alopecia want a new effective treatment. At last…good times are coming.

    1. @Egghead, what do you think about Thorn Medical? I doubt that they have a cure. All clinical trials cost money and time. Companies want to release a more effective treatment than current treatments. Not a cure, a new effective and safe treatment.

  24. I pay 50grand if u give me my hair when i was 16… just send me your IBAN.. as simple as it is…

you guy are so mean and cheap…. i hope 50grand sould be sufficient. if not, i can give go up more

  25. I am very frustrated.
    Nothing new.
Some people here are happy with hair transplant. HT is suck.
We need something what can back us all lost hair.
Scientist will 2099 still research how hair growing on mouse.
What is with Shiseido, i did not hear nothing new.
We have not curw for hair. This is like that we living in 15. century.

  26. You can be SURE that cb will work. It is finasteride without side effects. They will do release for acne in 2019. So forget about shaving. What you lost you can get from HT. And remember :
SOME HAIR IS BETTER THAN NO HAIR

PS. Remember about stem cells regenerative medicine ( Yes- Dr. Takashi Tsuji)

    Basta.

  27. well im apparently yoda 2 weeks ago back in the day when he only spoke in caps lock. then he supposedly got an email from the company which he hasnt proven and went on about how they already have before and after pics and it looks like PRP and emotional ranting.

I think it’s hard to believe a company spent $20million on a crap PRP rip off treatment.. but who knows maybe yoda is right. i’m still doubtful thorn is a “total scam” that would blow my mind … they’ve spent a lot of money so far and they are not even done yet

  28. for example I just received an email from Replicel they gave me their before and after shots it looks like “a PRP” don’t believe me? ask Lee Buckler for pictures! You want me to prove? I can’t attach pictures on this go ahead and ask them yourself.

    who believes me now?

  29. Follica 2018 guys. That’s all I have to say. 2 years and we can have our 100cm2 coverage. If he fails then it’s safe to say we are fked hahaha. I know he has something good. Add this with SM and histogen and you will be good in the hood. I’m excited to hear about follicum phase 2 results later this year. There molecule drug can stop and start regrowth. Plus it showed that it’s much more effective in growing more terminal dense growth than Rogaine

    1. I don’t trust Dr. Cotts. 25 years of research and this ‘treatment’ that’s ‘not a cure’ that involves goddamn wounding like some caveman technique? Wtf Cotts. This laid back guy should have been developing a stem cell treatment like Tsuji but instead focuses on some rudimentary shit.

      1. Corey flake what makes you think tsuji has a cure lol. He isn’t even focusing on mpb. He is focusing on skin. He is at least 10 years away. Cots is working on a great treatment that is proven to work. 100cm2 coverage is great and close to a cure. If you don’t like it then you can wait for tsuji and not go with follica. When 2030 hits then you can use tsuji if his stem cell treatment works. Last I checked he started follica in 2006 so it’s actually 10 years not 25. Lazy. I hardly doubt it. He is the only one in the game who completed 3 phases clinical trials, has backing by large venture capitalists with strong business plan for releasing his treatment to numerous hair restoration centers etc. I’m supporting my Greek homeboy. Go follica! Haha
We all should focus on tsuji when he actually starts clinical trials for hair loss. Don’t understand what the hype is about him so early in the game.

        1. Yeah I didn’t say Tsuji has a cure, but he’s looking in the right direction i.e. stem cell regeneration. It would be better to have more researchers investigating stem cells to find a cure.

Cotts has been in the hair research game since 1990 lol yes Follica was set up a decade ago. Whenever Cotts or his associates are asked about the future, they say a treatment soon but we’re far off a cure yet. Cotts even said somewhere that Tsuji’s work looked encouraging for the future. Then why the hell aren’t you following the same line of enquiry, Cotts?

I just don’t think wounding plus some compound will work to create long-lasting, non-drug dependent hair. I would not be happy about ratchet string hair you need to treat at home with the Cotts roller 3000©.

  30. I don’t have faith in CB. It’s been trials forever. Wtf. Samumed crushed 2 trials within 2 years. CB is still in phase 1 or something since 2011

  31. CB has been available for a while on Kane shop amongst other online sources. If it worked that well, there would be a much bigger buzz about it. I think it works about as well as RU does, but is much costlier. And I dont think we will ever see it released tbh. If it was cheaper it would actually be a good alternative to FIN.

I am still wondering about Jak. I want to know if it works for mpb. If it does have good regrowth, it coupled with topical fin could be a perfect combo.

    1. Ru and Fin give sides. Cb does not. It must be cheaper in the future. Please, be more optimistic :)

    1. Man, he doesn’t look that bad. I see dudes walking around on the street every day with women on their arms who look worse.

  32. Guys I know this isnt about hair I but where should I go to get opinion on if my nose is too big? I honestly feel like ill look like a weird dude when I have my head shaved with big ears and big nose. If I had more hair i can better pull off having a big nose. I want the publics opinion on my nose but dont want to put my mug shot online. Damn!

  33. This website covers two of my favorite topics… baldness cures and genetically living forever (I wrote a sci-fi book about the latter). Great job, Admin!

  34. Honestly I think the main stream people dont give a shit about baldness, if a proper scientist looks into this matter would have been cured by now. Look how angela christiano cured AA bcos she was into that thing. All the other companies are just commercial and hiring some scientists who aren’t driven by passion. If baldness was a medical emergency it would have been cured by now, for lot of people its just a joke. Bloody baldness is a joke anyways, few cures that might work will give you what impotency. Everyday the technology and research in other fields is growing, but we baldies are not going anywhere. I was really excited when JAK news came up but now I dont think they are doing anything about that. I was bit excited when brotzu lotion was to release soon, again it went to trials and no trace. It would be great atleast if they can create a proper cosmetic option which is semi or totally permanent and doesnt need maintenance like toupee. Look what they can do for chicks with small boobs…exactly like that we men need a better cosmetic option.

  35. Admin, i know u do your research and I am pretty sure you have some articles or resources on it. Can you please educate people here about 1- none of the big pharma withholding any cure from us ? 2- everyone knows hairloss is a huge market with lucrative business model if u have the cure.
i see people still whining about men’s not getting enough attention on cosmetics..
please educate these people. it is not about money, rather a predicament mankind has for the last 2016 years…

    1. Lol thanks danitello! There are just 2-3 regular posters who are mostly posting garbage. At some point I might ban them….wish I could just limit comments from such people to 3 per person per day max or something like that. I need to hire a programmer for that.

  36. Dude I never said that I believe in big pharma cos it’s bullshit… What I’m saying is baldness doesn’t get much attention as others..

  37. it is so not true … in today’s world there is no such thing as getting attention or not. it is all about money and hairloss has huge potential… I am really asking Admin to post some kind of research or analysis of his… so all you guys can see how much attention is actually on this market…

people forget how stem cell research market had been crushed last decade.. simply because there was no outcome.. this thing aint easy to fix. just understand it…

again it has nothing to do with attention, big pharma, resources… nothing… it is just not possible to find the cure… why u guys think people are not putting their best on it?

I am really asking Admin to make this awareness to everyone on this forum. thanks

    1. IMO cure will come only from stem cells regenerative therapy. But we need to wait. Many years. I hope I am wrong.

  38. @Admin…Follicum had it’s patent approved in the last couple of weeks…Not a huge development but they are in Phase 1/2a trials at the moment…My money is still on them coming to marketing before Samumed, Histogen etc…and I still think they will be more effective.

    1. I like follicum as well Greg. Quick movers and the Swedes are very smart people. Hopefully we will get some before after pics from them this fall.
I still believe JAK can cure mpb. I know they tested it on mpb but they just won’t tell us for publicity reasons. If jak could cure hair loss, think what would happen to ht business, and the hair loss ibdustry. It would be wiped out in one night. I know you hate me when I mention this theory but it’s true. They will never release a full blown cure unless it’s stem cell hair cloning. It’s like they release the cure for the common cold. You think Tylenol, advil, Sudafed is going to sit there and let it get released lol. They are going block it from entering the market. I’m sure a pharmaceutical company has already come across a cure for hair loss. Maybe it had severe side effects, blocked from the industry etc there is a lot of research and trials kept from the public. Anywho that is my rant for the day. Let the mjones bashing begin hahaha

      1. Why do you think anyone researching a cure for baldness would give a damn about hair transplant surgeons? Where is the link? BTW, if you really don’t know why there isn’t a cure for the common cold, you need to study a little more….

  39. I hope the cure comes before I am 30. Currently 22. There are so many hairstyles i have wanted to try and never been able to have but buzz cuts. Would be so uplifting and a confident booster to be able to change your hair, its incredible how different you can look and how much of a sex appeal it really is, its no wonder they use it so much for commercialism no matter the product. heres hoping the cures here for 2020 or 2025 because I dont think after 40 years old i’ll be bothered, at the moment im in my prime where i just wanna style around and enjoy my youth but by 40 even if the cure was to come out i’d probably just leave it basic.

They need to get their head out their ass and test JAK properly on people with mpb. At least so we can move on once and for all, I have a good faith in JAK but at the same time even if it was the cure its not a guarantee there wont be more obstacles such as price etc. I mean look at minoxidil that doesn’t even regrow all the hair and gave me horrid side effects but costs what JAK should cost if it were the cure!

  40. @The Jason, good post mate. Believe me, if you care about how you look you’ll bother when your 40. Im 37 and I still bother enough to come here hoping and checking every single week. Im sure I’ll still bother when im 50. The way I see it is; the day I dont care bout my look anymore is the day I might as well give up altogether.

    1. I’m 34.. Right said ! I also said naaahh I won’t care when I’m 30 , I care still a lot.. But now 30 is like 20 in the 70 ies.. Everything changed , people are getting married later and have children in their 40 ies

    1. Just read it. Its pretty interesting! The article says it’s something revolutionary to biomedicine. A similar technology was worth winning a noble prize in science, and this one is even better since, unlike the latter, it doesnt cause cancer. So this is something HUGE if its true. And what is even better is that this new finding has as benefit hair folicle regrowth.

The bad thing tho is that they appearently even tried this on mice yet, let alone on humans. This would 10’years to say the least, but its still a very good news anyway.

I suppose that every possible future treatment related to biomedicine (dna, stemcells) will be expensive as hell, but Im sure one of these treatment will be super efficient, to a point that it can make a nw7 has a head full of hair again (but maybe not perminent).

    2. Thanks Paul, I saw it on the forums too and will write a post on it if I find more info on the scientist and the reliability of this.

    1. One day you will come here and you will take by surprise with a news that will have at least 5k coments.lol

      Lets keep the faith!

  41. NO. People with MPB WANT A NEW EFFECTIVE AND SAFE TREATMENT. THAT’S EASY. CURRENT TREATMENT DON’T MAKE US HAPPY.

  42. Welp yolo I started the

    Minoxidil 5% Liquid 1x/daily.
    Finasteride 1mg.
    Nizoral 1% ketoconazole shampoo 2-3x/week.
    Spironolactone 200mg.
    Estradiol 6mg.
    Medroxyprogesterone 5mg.
    Biotin 10,000mcg.
    Dermarolling (1.5mm) 1x/week.
    regimen.

  43. Welp I started this regimen
    Minoxidil 5% Liquid 1x/daily.
    Finasteride 1mg.
    Nizoral 1% ketoconazole shampoo 2-3x/week.
    Spironolactone 200mg.
    Estradiol 6mg.
    Medroxyprogesterone 5mg.
    Biotin 10,000mcg.
    Dermarolling (1.5mm) 1x/week.
I’m done with this shit, iw post before afters if anyone is interested when I’m done

    1. Yes, please do! I am sick of waiting for these drug companies and am going to start testing products on myself, as well. Would like to hear how those products work together, specifically the dermarolling bit. Thanks.

  44. @PaulPheonix, u talk like u r actually in a lab and solving the equation. just pls do not spread any ignorance.
this is just hurting others here…

my feeling says we are no where close

  45. The interesting thing is that dr Tsuji does not answer on e-mails about hair regeneration. It is suspicious. 3-4 months ago he was very talkative. And please dont tell me that he is busy because of skin development. Some quick reply is not a big hurdle…

Danitello- do you think that stem cells will be the first hair loss cure?

    1. He doesn’t give a sht about us. He is probably getting annoyed that 5000 people email him daily about a treatment he isn’t trying to solve. He is focusing on skin guys and luckily hair follicles are on skin . If you plan to scalp yourself and put new skin then tsuji may be your guy.

  46. i think Admin can definitely tell more on this. whati think is stem cells is holy grail of this disease. however there is no time frame or any indication of when it can be ready to be launched…

i have seen this market crashed last decade. alot of investments had been done and literally there was no outcome.. investors were pissed… now market is again starting to ramp up

guys… it was 1997 when dolly was cloned. at that time humankind had the impression that we were sorted or close enough, a decade tops… here you go almost 2 decades past and now asking for another 10 years…

i am just saying no one can predict any timeline… the only truth about stem cell is that we all know its still far…

and again to all people, it is not because hairloss doesnt get any attention or there is no resource.. it is simply because technology is not yet advanced…
pls understand this.. and do not spread any timeline here.. because i know youngsters are reading this blog too and its 1-giving false hope 2- people are putting off their regime or HT plans

  47. Dr Farjo said before 4 years that stem cells for baldness is years away.
    I think he ia fu…
Maybe he sabotage scientists and take money from rich companies.
We MUST ASK DR CHRISTIANO PERSONALLY ABOUT JAK INH.
    WE CAN NOT WAIT ANYMORE.
    EVWRYTHING HAPPENS VERY SLOWLY.
WHAT THE F THEY ARE DOING IN THEIR LABS?

  48. @ jere – I understand your frustration. I feel similar. Even Kelopesia that PROBABLY won’t give very good results has now been delayed until December 2016.

And it seems like mpb isn’t a very serious or pressing concern to any scientists doctors. Everyone seems to be focusing on alopecia areata first, which I don’t understand why. The market for mpb is HUGE! And people with AA always have the off chance that their hair will just grow back. Plus even they have better treatment options than we do.

Ive been debating starting DUT and oral Minox at the same time im getting so desperate.

      1. There’s ways to get oral minox still. I could if I really wanted to, but Im not that daring. Yet.

    1. I like to call Paul the robot because his posts end the same way. However I think he is a good who frustrated just as me and praying for a better treatment. Keep on the hope Paul it motivates me to stay positive

  49. Tsuji reminds me of Leonardo Da Vinci. I hope his concepts translates to real hair results but I have my misgivings. When I look at that picture of the mouse with few hairs, I think it that was replicated on a human scalp 100 times, would it really look natural or like a cartoon character’s hair?

  50. Paul that’s very interesting about the Taiwan university, but no news about it even less news than follica

    1. Jeremy it was published in his business plan to market report the other day. There is a link to it in the previous thread

    1. Im interested if they plan to combine in with jak inhibitor since ceo of follica just bought rights to use them

      1. You would not want to combine a JAK/STAT inhibitor with wounding at the same time. Garza has a paper from 2014 or 2015 that specifically talks about needing STAT3/IL-6 to respond to wound induced follicle neogenesis. That means if you are wounding to trick the skin into making a new hair, you need that JAK/stat immune response pathway to get new hair. Whether JAK/stat is over expressed/dis regulated in regular non wound induced follicle neogenesis (aka normal hair cycle) in AGA is a completely different question.

    2. I hope the result will be much better than this because this result is horrible. Ive heard that follica technique will only work for early stage of baldness and not on slick bald :/

      1. When you realize you are going bold you condition Start way long ago. Is the only disease you live 50 60 70 years and you dont die of it.

        1. Is this a good thing? I mean you’ll suffer for many years, until you can passing away, and be saved from your suffering.

    3. i did not see anything in that thread but some guy’s nose with dark hair all over it… why would anybody do that …lol

      am i missing something?

      1. He was just showing that follica method works. It can grow hair where wounding occurs. Why does everyone have to bash any sort of progress. Wtf. I haven’t seen anyone else reactivate hair follicles like that by wounding, have you? Not happy with 100cm2 coverage. Not happy with using topical for growth, not happy with SM stopping hair loss and growing 10% new growth in 3 months, not happy with shit. You guys that complain can wait for tsuji who isn’t working on hair regeneration and when you are 70 years old with your scrotum hanging to your knees you can get it hair cloning done. It won’t happen for 20 years. I heard this from numerous dermatologists. The only form of hair regeneration is replicel and they have been silent for a year with no start date to phase 2. Anyways f it, I’m off to bed. Can’t wait to hear the mjones bashing when I wake up lol

        1. Lol Mjones it’s not that…im actually pretty excited about new treatments and hoping something will be released this year , I just think its funny that someone would use Dr cots techmique on their nose, and it worked too… Wow

    4. Gefitinib, that’s another drug for cancer treatment.
Looks like all these inhibitors are scrutinized and tested for hair loss.

So this probably uses again the idea of wounds like “windows of opportunity”, giving the skin the choice: grow skin or grow hair.

NASA RS, let’s hear it :)

    1. Why? Maybe he doesnt solve his problems with culturing? I am sure that he will be first. But timeline can be far away…

Do you guys think that this is easy? Dr. Tsuji is certainly the most knowledgeable researcher working on hair regeneration. We are lucky that he is not involve in some cancer cure development.

And I dont understand your logic :D This team have been working on this patent for many years. Suddenly they decided to leave it and go to other issuses. Do you know that they have official patent concerning control of eruption hair density and hair color. http://www.patentsencyclopedia.com/app/20140052167

They created the normal hair with color, structure and full gene expresion. But from one cell they are able to create one hair. They need to figure out how to multiply that cell (I hope they have done it already).

And do you realise that it would be the FIRST recreation actual organs in the lab for transplantation. It is not easy to take it to clinical trials…

  51. Please explain this to our teenage mutant ninja turtle MR Donitello who has been putting his nose in every reply as if someone has asked him about his opinion. Dude this is a blog, everyone has their own views…we dont need your enlightment…peace

  52. That guy’s nose looks as if he has sprinkled that hair fibre crap onit lol dont think he actually grew hair. Lmfao

  53. Dear All I have one question I would be glad if you answer it.

My wife and her Mother are only in their family who are suffering from hair loss.

How can I identify either it is Alopesia androgenetic or Alopesia areata.

    1. Better to consult dermatologist for this.

But in brief androgenetic alopecia mostly occurs in patter (called MPB)
      http://www.belgraviacentre.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/Norwood-Thin.jpg

and areata can be huge or small bald spots anywhere on head.
      https://dermrochester.com/wp-content/uploads/alopecia-areata.jpg

If its caused by auto immune, the hair bald spots can appear overnight. I have personally seen going hair of a relative like that. Just coming out in hand as you touch it.

    2. Let them get their blood checked first. Iron, Ferritin, Vitamin B12, Vitamin D etc. Doctors will know more but be sure to check Ferritin and Vitamin B12 cause they tend to miss this.

  54. mate , look… only interfering with a post where necessary.. there are young people here who put off their regime or HT plans just because what is written here.. do you want that?

most of the news here is just too good to be true. we all want the same thing .. only difference is I am not spreading false hope without any photo or shred of evidence.. so far there is none.. just blabla comments…

i can not do that to young generation… they need to hop on fin and minox asap and do not count anything written or promised here

    1. @Donitello. Current treatments don’t work for all of people with MPB. You know that! We need new alternatives.

    2. So you are telling young people to get on fin.. Dude that thing is horrible… You rather loose hair than being impotent..

    3. What are you doing here, man? Not everyone can use FIN. I haven’t heard many positive, long-term reviews on minox. Same with HT. Do some looking around on the various forums. I have yet to see someone who got a hair transplant be thankful for having had one done 20 years later. Not one. The boards are littered with people who all say that they would go back and not have the procedure, if they could. Baldness keeps going. Transplant isn’t going to stop it. You have locked yourself into 30-50 years of misery, if you are lucky. You will have to get touch ups done, after the initial $10,000 surgery. You will be spending close to $30-$40,000 by the time you die. Think of all the things you could have done with that money? Instead, you spent it on your insecurity. This is the best case scenario. Worst case, you have a botched procedure and you are ashamed to leave the house because the world has a clear picture of your insecurity and you are disfigured.

What if they do come up with an awesome solution and you stripped off a big strip of follicles off the back of your head? You are going to wish you waited. Bottom line is this.. and I have said this a lot.. if you weren’t a lady killer before losing your hair, you aren’t going to be one when you lose it. That is just life. If you got women before, you are going to continue to get women.. hair or no hair. For you guys that say that it is not about women, then you need to learn to like yourself for other reasons than your hair. Your dad’s and forefather’s would kick your asses if they knew that some of you wanted to give up on life because of a genetic curve ball life through at you.

    4. I agree with Donitello. Get on Propecia ASAP to save what you have. Don’t listen to scare stories on forums. If you don’t get on Propecia YOU WILL GO BALD. If you try it and get sides lasting longer than 3 to 6 months then drop it but I doubt it will last longer than that if you even get sides. 2 to 3 years before a new treatment gets released is a while. You can lose ton of hair doing nithing. That’s just my advice. Good luck

  55. The real cure is altering your genes. None of the stem cell rubbish. However I am hopeful of a new treatment that can retain the hair we currently have until a cure is out.

I am currently 19 and both of my grandparents and great grandparents had hair but all of their male children don’t. Which is unlucky for me because I have the balding genes and I’m loosing ground fast. I was just wondering if you guys can answer a few minoxidil questions for me.

Usually based on your experience how long does it take until Minox loses effectiveness?

Also Is it possible for your hair to start shedding and never re grow?

And is it possible to just apply a small amount of minox on my right temple instead of all over?

    Thanks

    1. I use Minoxidil, i think i’m 4 months in. I haven’t noticed any improvement or thickening of the hair.. it worked on my hairline for a while but eventually DHT did it’s job. It just makes those hair cells do more, but they will always go.

I had a small shed and no regrowth..

Yes, apply it where you feel the need to..

  56. aliens will bring us the cure this is the best case senario. we are far far away from a cure in alternative universe maybe this universe is so unfair . i love all bald people and i can feel them

  57. The aliens may commit genocide to only hairyhead people and will prob leave us baldies alone….we r so lucky! Haha

    1. Follicum just raised above and beyond what they needed for money. This will help in phase two. When a company can raise more then what they asked for , that is a very good sign. The market does not lie. Companies with a good history and evidence of what they are doing will go a long way . follicum and personally I think sm will be something big. They also have big time backers.

  58. The first men had hair all over the body, now 60000 years later all hair is gone, the question is why, evolution? Yes they were naked, so my conclusion is we must go back in time, and that mean we all go naked again. The result you will see in 60.000 years ;)

  59. Admin, I hope you add the “scroll to end” button on your comment section in the near future. Or at least the “remove useless comments” that hides complaints about how scientists don’t care about bald people.
Either will make it easier to spot constructive comments. : )

  60. I wish there was some other scientist who can test jak in mpb.. I’m pretty sure it will work to some extent… nasa bro any updates

    1. That news source is behind. That’s literally the exact same press release from April 1st. This has nothing to do with his hair follicle germ work. They are independent operations under the same regenerative medicine division. The hair specific work will probably be commercialized in about 6 or 7 years.

  61. Anyone else really amused by these Thorn Medical updates? I love reading their news, they constantly refer to MPB and type 2 diabetes cure like ‘low hanging fruit’ and ‘quick, easy wins’. It sounds way too good to be true but all of their press release are bursting with self-confidence. They say their clinic opens in September, I wonder what the state of Thorn Medical and hair loss / stem cell treatment news in general will be at the end of this year. The pessimist and realist and me think it will be the same ‘X years from now we will have Y’ but I wonder what will become of Thorn Medical.

    1. My advise is that no one should expect much from Thron Medical. So far, too much talk, nothing really concrete. Let us not set ourselves for disappointment.

  62. First of all I want to thank the admin to update us on the various potential treatments. Even if we don’t have a cure or treatment by 2020, at least this website gives us hope and makes us see the light at the end of the tunnel. I am confident that one day we will all be able to say goodbye to one another on this blog and go on to live our lives will our full heads of hair.

Second, I live in Canada and I have just ordered the Hasson & Wong topical finasteride gel that is supposed not to go very systemic. I am also going to get blood tests done before and after starting using the finasteride gel to monitor the DHT levels and confirm that the fin gel is indeed not going systemic. Of course, I will also be monitoring my hair loss. I will let you guys know the results.

Keep you head up guys you are not alone in this journey and we are all gonna make it through!

    1. Thanks, and keep us updated on your DHT levels. Would be nice if this stops hairloss…without risking sides that essentially ruin your life.

    2. Saleen, great post. Please comment in at least one of the relevant topical Finasteride posts on this blog too (there are probably 3) once you start.

  63. Hi Saleen, were you on oral finasteride before starting Hasson Wong topical fin? Please let me know if you get additional growth and thickening by adding the topical fin? I’m very curious because I’m a long time Propecia user and looking to see if topical fin can’t kick start the effectiveness of the drug since oral is not working that we’ll for me anymore

  64. Is topical finasteride supposed to work better than oral fin? Or is it just beneficial because you avoid the side effects? Also how does topical fin compare to oral dutasteride?

    1. I’m with you FADI. I have been waiting since 2001. My patience ran out long time ago. Histogen should have been out 2 years ago. Most of us would have been saved by it for another 10 years

  65. Hi again guys,

Admin I will gladly post on the relevant topical fin blog posts once I start the H&W topical fin.

Mjones I am not on oral fin at the moment so I won’t be able to tell whether topical is more effective than oral. I will monitor my progress with pictures and so I will definitely be able to judge the effectiveness. Also, my head itches at the spots where I’m balding the most (crown) so if my crown stops itching that might give me an initial indication that the fin gel is working.

Balding is a complex puzzle that will be solved one day. We study one piece of the puzzle at a time and if it doesn’t work, we move on to a different piece.

I know how hard it can be to deal with this, whatever the age. I am 20 and am fighting very powerful genes (everybody is completely bald in my family). Nevertheless, everyone has their own problems and I think hair loss is nothing when put in perspective (cancer, etc.) Also, we live in an incredible era with very promising technology that will enable us to achieve things we could not even dream of! The only thing that technology won’t be able to do is give you back the time you wasted despairing on your hair loss. So please try you best to enjoy life while waiting for a new treatment that will solve our problem, because once it comes out, you will regret wasting your precious

    Have a good one

    Saleen

    1. I’m really curious to see if topical fin can reboot the lost effectiveness of oral Propecia for those like myself who have been using it for 10+ years

      1. hej mjones, can you tell what finasteride you have been using? propecia, proscar, generic? Is this all the same? can proscar cutting be as effective as propecia?

    2. Hi Saleem,

Wasn’t it already tested that topical fin has the same systematic sides as oral fin? Or am i missing something?

      1. some one on this blog told that he was a candidate in hasson finasteride where he encountered side effects since % of finasteride was high

  66. @mjones i had a nice full head, i used to style my hair by just putting drops of water on it. Now i have about 15% of this full head, i wish i can get my hair .
i tried minoxidil propecia laser comb aq hair complex spironolactone cream

    but irregularly with no results

i was a tired of just trying this lead me to stop and then continue then stop then continue

    1. Hi Fadi, I have always used brand name Propecia since day one. 4 years ago I noticed Merk stopped manufacturing Propecia is NJ and started making it in Italy. That was the same time my hair starred thinning . Not sure if they half assed the main ingredient to save money. Who knows?
I sounds like you had the same thick density as me buddy. I would take a comb through my hair and it would always get stuck because my hair was super thick. I probably had 150 thousand hairs instead of the normal 120k. Good old days. Now I avoid bright lights to hide the diffuse loss. So sad

      1. i am using 1 mg finasteride that is manufactured by local company, who knows how much is it effective, wish old day come back

    1. That is absolutely ridiculous. He is aiming for human trials in 2020. After that there will be about 3 or 4 years till commercialization. I’m disappointed in you Lewandowski for even entertaining the thought that it would take this long. You guys are speaking with your emotions.

      1. PBTA, you seem to not know how long a true clinical takes, especially one involving stem cell regeneration. There is no way it can go through phase 1 and 2 in 3 years. People estimating a 2030 time frame for tsuji are being accurate. Plus he isn’t even aiming for mpb for his main goal. Let’s wait for him to actually grow hair on a male subject with mpb then we talk time frames.

        1. Mjones you appear to have a comprehension problem. http://www.cdb.riken.jp/org/en/research/organ/hair.html This page shows their method for regenerating hair using a germ cell method. This does not incorporate the use of IPS cells, it is entirely separate from his skin work. And the reason trials are so short in Japan is because stem cell treatments are allowed to commercialized their work after phase 2. Germ cell therapy has a mid level risk assessment, therefor it allows for conditional approval. You have no clue what you are talking about. You’ll probably respond with some useless conjecture devoid of substance, but many have already come to expect that from you. Sorry to be harsh but your cynicism is toxic on this blog.

          1. PTBA Japanese law on stem cell treatments are great and I agree they can release products after phase 2. So far I haven’t seen them do it. Replicel shiseido have been waiting for Japan to give them the OK to start phase 2. It’s been freaking 2 years now with no go ahead from the Japanese govt. I’m being realistic and helping those on this site realize true time Iines for release . Don’t call my thoughts toxic buddy. If tsuji comes out in 3 years after they start trials I will personally buy your treatment from them lol.

      2. It was a joke. Damn man. I know that he will be first. I hope it will be available in 2022.
Yes, IMO he overcame culturing problems.

  67. guys I am going to tell this again… just because people who read this blog should understand. when they claim a cure is coming in 10 years +…. never ever believe it.. why ? because no one would invest such a programme for 10 years. thats why stem cell research has been crushed in the last decade…
investors are like us and wanna see ROI in short term 3-5years… if u say 10, then no one will fund u… and it will prolong another 2-3 decades

  68. I hope that readers on this blog know that there will never be a pill or a magic lotion that can cure AGA. Thats brutal true. Yes, there will be preventive treatments but such effect like using JAK on AA is almost impossible. It isgenetic disease. The only good aproach is regenerative therapy and genome editig (at least 40years). Maybe replicel achieve thier goals? That would be great. Maintain what you have. However new hair only from cloning. Thats why we talking about Tsuji. He is many many steps ahead of all. And remember that this method will help burn victims and all kinds of alopecia… He said that hair ( YES, it is a very small problem) is just begining. Due to that fact he is working on other subjects.

  69. And I try to explain why I think that he overcame culturing problems. Past few months there was discovers which colud help him to culture appropriate cells (I think PTBA has links). Dr. Tsuji suddenly stopped to respond to e-mails about Hair Regeneration Method (NOT hair from skin!!!). And there was some information on hlt that he decided to collaboration with big company to develop hair regeneration (in late march).
And his team and Riken Institute want to take it to clinical trials because if it apear succesful there will be easier to take to the market next developments (teeth, skin etc.)
PS. STOP confusing hair on skin with method published in Nature in 2012.

  70. i agree. however i also feel that there will be better treatments coming up in this decade. look maybe we dont have to cure AGA.. all needed is something that can grow on top of our head which look like hair.. there is always workground…

  71. All scientific teams working on a cure against alopecia ( hair follicle regeneration) are more advanced than in their PowerPoint presentations . Have no doubt about that .100% SURE. Another thing: Propecia formulation (gel/topic) WITHOUT SIDES is a winner…

  72. Well, according to the king of the hair loss the cure ( hair regeneration) will be on the market in the next 10 years. He knows what is happening around the world but he keeps quite because he is not allowed to talk about other companies.

  73. no i think its just admin’s prediction or his wishfully thinking that 2020 is the year…
difference than wig is : it will GROW and maintainable.. pls read my statement above once more.. artificial hair or skin might be a workaround… or accepting hair from others or advanced body hair transplant…etc
propecia: it doesnt work for everyone. plus i ve heard from others that it will lose its effectiveness over time

all we need is around 15K grafts right? lets look it from numbers… i think sort term (5-10 years) only workaround will be with transplants…

  74. guys im pretty sure Aclaris is working hard to bring JAK to market…. they wouldnt have spent so much just for AA …. all these companies are after AGA…its not cos they feel bad for anyone…its bcos of the money involved…please be optimistic and if you are not dont spread your depression here….

  75. Dear Admin:

Do you still believe it’s feasible for a cure to be released by the end of 2020? Is that feasible given the current state of research? If a cure was supposed to arrive by 2020, would we not have at least some signs points to a potential cure? I understand you want to keep readers interested, but is it not a little too ambitious to believe that this malady will be cured? I apologize if I have offended you, but this just doesn’t seem pragmatic. I do commend your efforts to spread positivity.

    1. The blog is not to spread positivity but real News about real reserch…
I think a lot of information these companies give are not truth. This is the case of histogen. They continue to give the same data over and over without real New News. For them will be easy to show mora data because they have many years and many patients with the tecnology in ther heads. Many people make the illusion that companies are racing to bring to market its treatment. The truth is that although there millions expected of them millions more every year are born and die. Today tomorrow or in 10 year will be the same. The big difference Between all are some have funs to extend the study 1 year os 10 years until they have some thing real and not cosmetic.

      1. Ok…ok…but exist a huge demand for a new treatment for MPB because current treatments have poor results . That’s life and the truth.

  76. I just watched the video about Replicel and they said it would be released in 2015 and then 2018. . I think the biggest reason it has failed for now is because they still can’t solve the mystery of why the adipose fat tissue is depleted.
Anyway, would it be possible to grow scalp-like hair somewhere else? Probably like injecting the cultured cells on your stomach or chest. It would look ugly if it grows LOL but the hair could be transplanted to your scalp just like BHT. IMO it could be an ultimate solution for the next 10 years.

  77. guys correct me if i am wrong but this site also used to be named as hairlosscure2015… i may be wrong… sorry if i am mistaken

  78. About Thorn, I still haven’t heard back from them to schedule my medical assuming they are busy setting up for this fall and contacting pateints this summer, I have emailed everyone and have not heard back. But yoda say’s he has heard back they have emailed him and they even gave him before and after pics of people they already did and also they showed him how it’s done and it looks like PRP and it’s a big scam.

After months of them not contacting me through email or phone besides Dr. Khan telling me she has me on file and expect a call from the medical director, Yoda somehow seems to be special because they contact him back immediately with before and after pictures and explained to him personally in his email how their procedure works. So if anyone has questions about Thorn Medical get in contact with Yoda because he seems to be in really close communication with Thorn.

  79. Okay,
So these are the main concerns for me when it comes to treatments that should be released in 2018:

    1) The possibility the releases are postponed in 2018, and postponed and postponed as they always have been … How many years ago FIN was introduced ? Rhetorical question …

    2) The waiting lists which might be extensive, so when something comes out, you might have to wait a long time before you can get it, because the entire community is waiting …

    3) The possibility that your hair loss has more underlying problems than the particular treatment can solve, in short, you might belong to the group for which the treatment does not work …

We are always talking about AGA as being one type of hair loss, however I believe even within AGA there are different types of causes on each persons AGA. Your AGA might be harder to solve than the AGA of others who just use Minox or FIN or Apple Cider Vinegar+Onion Juice … Just to name a few treatments the tiny tiny tiny minority of sufferers benefit from.

I understand that scalp hair regrowth is hard to solve, but I don’t understand that they still have nothing for hair maintainance.

    1. Forgot to mention an additional angle to this as well… It seems as if Estrogen has the exact opposite effect on IL-6 as does testosterone/androgenic hormones.

      http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC146754/

Androgenic hormones up-regulate IL-6, a known inflammatory agent. Estrogen mitigates this. IL-6 is released from balding dermal papilla after DHT is administered. This leads to premature catagen and an increase of STAT-3 expression in the outer root sheath, of which the bulge arises from.

So where am I going with this? AGA is highly heritable, as has been established? Well check this out:

      http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC179876/

This is not in the hair follicle per-say, but it is in a region known in males to be associated with AGA, the prostate. IL-6 works 80-90% through JAK/STAT3 pathway (cannot remember where i read this, but none-the-less I read it). It seems as if during prostate cancer, STAT3 not only upregulates AR trans-activation, but ALL the other steroid receptors as well. This means Estrogen receptor is up-regulated also. Trans-activation means increased gene expression, which leads to the phenotype seen in AGA. It creates a vicious feedback loop. If we can make the logical leap that this happens in the hair follicle via IL-6, we can see that in women an increase in STAT3 overexpression would put one at risk for AGA female pattern, but because of the minimal presence of androgen in the female body and because of the huge presence of estrogen IL-6 is being downregulated by estrogen via STAT3 through the estrogen receptor. Using the same pathway as males but with a different hormone to cause a hair protective effect. Well what happens when estrogen levels fall during menopause? The normal jak/stat cascade takes over in females because of the lack of estrogen protection (remember androgens ALSO fall for them during menopause). This leads to their phenotype of hair loss.

You guys…. IT IS THE STAT3/IL-6/AR TRIANGLE. Targeting only one of these will not work. It will slow down AGA but you are fighting a losing battle targeting only 1. You MUST target both STAT3 and AR in my opinion if we want to reverse AGA appreciably, as in take a NW 6 or 7 back to a NW 0 or 1.

I truly wish someone wealthy would go to a doctor and get a jak stat inhibitor prescribed off label. Just like propecia was prescribed to men off label before becoming “official” for AGA. Spencer Kobran of the Bald Truth Talk specifically mentions this happening to him, and being fortunate to have it prescribed to him off label before it became mainstream. Then take it to a pharmacy and have it compounded into a topical, of relatively high concentration (3-5%). Use this twice daily with once daily finasteride.

  80. @Netshed : pretty well summarized. just one remark to ur last paragraph.. u can not just stop the interactions between materials. this is from quantum mechanics. in other words there is no such thing as maintenance. u will always lose ground , just pace would be very slow. in essence yes u will always lose hair.. so either improvement or deterioration…
in very rough terms, what fin and minox does is to slow down your hairloss.. thats what u call maintenance…

    1. @danitello. Are you kidding us? Minoxidil and Finasteride have very poor results…and limited efficacy. Think please. We need better alternatives than current treatment. It’s very easy.
In conclusion: MPB have a HUGE demand for a new treatment / cure.

    2. Everybody might have another definition of maintainance, for me, maintainance is in the middle of detoriation and improvement.

So the current options, are no options for us, they don’t stop the detoriation.

If current medicine would provide maintainance from the moment we spotted our hair loss, nobody would be posting here, everybody could get a FUE HT (or 2) and would be running outside during the next rainy and windy day.

  81. Any news on SM phase 2b? I’m excited about Follicum, Follica, Histogen and SM. If these come out within the next two years it will help out millions of people. All I need is some diffuse thickening and hair line thickening. The good news about all of this is that they know not to release a treatment that doesn’t work much better than current treatments. Pharmaceutical and companies like Follica will have to release a game changer to market or else they will not be profitable.

      1. mjones i’m wondering what your thinking these days.
After seeing rev post that topical natural forum person i was intrigued. but after seeing that greek natural topical forum b/a pic i’m pretty convinced something is going on.

Are you considering trying out that dude’s regimen?

        1. Egghead, we can safely say that wounding with topicals definitely work to grow back hair. That Greek guy did it home. I can only imagine what follica can do with their advanced protocol. I was thinking of just buying a derma stamp and using it on my temples. Just to try it out on a small scale. The thing is that Greek guy used a whole bunch of stuff. IL just use castor, coconut, rosemary oil. A lot of people here still think cots is just patent collecting. He is a very smart guy and will be making millions of dollars. He will release a treatment and it will work better than the Greek guy’s kitchen sink approach. I just hope we have other options as well like SM, follicum etc to keep our hair from thinning.

          1. But, if you wound, then apply topicals like minoxidil and whatever else, won’t these topicals go straight into your blood system? Isn’t that a potential issue?

          2. I’m sure follica’s precision protocols will be way better no doubt. just curious if u were going to wait for it

          3. I was also surprised more wasn’t said about that on this forum. Those were incredibly effective and convincing pictures.

No doubt baring a complete disaster we are going to have far superior options as early as 2017/2018. Options that can bring back multiple Norwood levels.

  82. I hope that if this companies really have something can get it out before the bubble in silicon valley blow…..

  83. @admin, thanks again for all your hard work! This is the no. 1 site for hl news! The different companies should do more interviews for your site:-) Eagerly awaiting your next post! :D

  84. Is anyone here tryed getting all his hormones tested and can it be that some ppl have hairloss due to low testosteron. If any of you had some expirience with that post pls. Sorry for my english it is not so great

  85. ngago is really really interesting considering it’s “challenging CRISPR” i can’t find anything on it though

  86. 2 years is a long time to wait and the way I’m going I will be a nw6. Sucks that my hair is accelerating so fast after so many years of maintenence. It’s Propecia I’m taking from CVS is fake or something

  87. Do you guys think bronze lotion will work for mpb? I am a little worried that he focused on showing it’s results for AA and nothing for aga. My gut is telling me this may be a bad sign. You would think he would show regrowth pics for aga to boost popularity of his treatment.

  88. Yuck. Absolute yuck all these US scientists with new pills and discoveries and studies…and loads of BS with their trials phase 1 phase 2 phase 1110004503…If treatment will ever come it won’t be from these snake oil companies trying to sell their companies to the highest bidder. You can see the companies being absorbed by great pharmacy companies whenever they release a study and suddenly there is no more progress…funding problems???? Give me a break guess ill just get the HT in Turkey to save me my last year’s before the 40s…The city of bald where grass ain’t green and girls ain’t pretty :D

  89. MATT, you were talking about someone getting a prescription for jak… if somebody lives close to Mexico couldn’t they cross the border and just buy it in the drug store there?
what is the drug name to look for?

  90. I think it can be done in the United States. I personally wouldn’t feel comfortable buying from Mexico but to each their own. It would just take a general practitioner willing to prescribe this to you for the purpose you want. And it would take someone knowledgable enough to create a topical with the JAK/stat inhibitor as the main ingredient that would stay in the epidermis/ dermis mainly. Tofacitnib and Ruxolitinib are the only FDA approved JAK inhibitor so far, although others are close behind. A months worth runs $2000 or more. But I think you would only need 1-3 months worth to create a topical in the right percentage. Anything less than 1% Tofacitinib or Ruxolitinb will do nothing and Christiano said herself in the interview that it needs to be in a high local concentration to have the effect seen. The mice were given 3% topical.

Another thought, and I have mentioned this before on here. It is indeed possible that Christiano already knows this works on AGA as well. If you shout that to the world right away you stand to make NOTHING off of your groundbreaking intuition. Men will just rush to their general practitioners and have it made into a topical. The only ones who would make anything whatsoever would be those who already own the rights to the the two medicines mentioned. Thus in order to make money you would let this run its FDA course of likely 8 years minimum, unless major changes to law are passed. Sucks, but this is the reality. Not a believer in the “fin” conspiracy theories that run around here buying people out with hush money, but I am a believer in people’s personal motive to make a huge profit if they have the cure. You only could do that through I.P. ownership at the scale of production this would require. And this is exactly what Christiano did with selling I.P. and future royalties to Walker.

  91. People have landed on the Moon. People have learned to harness the power of an atom’s nucleus. And yet they can’t cure baldness.

The fact it’s 2016 and we still don’t have a cure for baldness is beyond ridiculous.

    How come?

  92. there are MANY people in the AA community taking JAK with success. You think we would have heard by now of someone with AGA taking them. Either they have without success or they haven’t which is unlikely.

    1. I still find it really weird she wouldn’t test it first for AGA. That would get her more money and more attention that curing AA. I find it very shady and crooked. She knows something big and I think she sold it off to that other company. I wouldn’t be surprised if jak actually cures aga and this other company is going to shelve it and never say a word about it. Imagine a topical that could totally reverse aga after 3 months. This would destroy every hair loss drug, surgery, wig business. Something is going on behind the scenes and it’s really pissing me off because we all want our hair back and tired of waiting! It seems Iike AA,is more important than a blockbuster billion dollar discovery like aga cure. It’s all shady bs!

      1. Well she does have a vested interest in AA first and foremost because it happened to her. And as much as AGA sucks, I do think AA would indeed be worse. AGA is still “normal” hair loss. And it really is only truly terrible for those who start going noticeably bald at a very young age. If this started for me when I was 50 I wouldn’t care nearly as much. Your youth is out of the way. But starting in your late teens and early 20’s it can be a tremendously touch pill to swallow.

What I like so much about Christiano’s approach is she focuses on the genetics behind it. Study the genes to find the answers. Both AA and AGA are highly hereditible. We already know that the set of SNP’s between EDA2R and AR confers the most risk for Europeans for AGA. Specifically one of these SNP’s has something like ^-89, which is the single most at risk SNP amongst Europeans. But the number 2 at risk spot is 20p11 and its SNP’s. One SNP from this set has ^-39, the second most at risk SNP in the whole genome.

Here is the kicker and this is where I think the key peice of evidence comes in for IL-6/Stat3 being all bald people’s main problem. The variants in different AR/EDA2R IS NOT AN AT RISK SPOT AMONGST ASIANS. ONLY EUROPEANS.

        http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4441445/

this bit is after [10] under “introduction”.

Only the SNP’s at 20p11 are shared at risk spots amongst all people of all ethnicities. FOXA2 and PAX1 are the genes on each side of the 20p11 SNP’s…. And looking at FOXA2 functions on Wikipedia shows it to be involved in Androgen metabolism and response to IL-6 amongst other things. So this tells me that IL-6 and JAK/stat3 cascade and Androgens are what is common amongst all people. Europeans just happened to evolve a couple of really nasty androgen receptor associated SNP’s that rapidly accelerates the inflammatory based JAK/Stat process along. Hence why Europeans start the earliest generally and have the highest incidence of AGA.

Will this be reversible by targeting JAK/stat as well as AR at the same time is the main question. You gotta hit both at the same time, and in high enough concentrations to change the micro environment of AGA effected hair. And I doubt this has been done yet as a high concentration topical JAK/Stat with proper delivery and for a long enough time, in conjunction with heavily blocking AR via fin/dut to give the topical JAK/Stat some time to work.

Some common arguments against it working are things like:

1.) AGA follicles lose contact with the arector pili muscle, in AA where JAK/STAT inhibition has worked they do not.

My response: It looks like as has been shown already by Christiano that JAK/Stat signaling is a stop signal in the hair follicle, it is highly elevated during Catagen and Telogen. Well it appears to be the same in muscle tissue. And with age in all tissues JAK/stat signaling increases.

Attenuating this allows muscles to be repaired when JAK/Stat signaling gets too high, as happens with age. So perhaps inhibiting AR/stat3/il-6 will bring about the repair of the arector pili muscle. This is a smooth muscle, and stat3 mRNA and protein is expressed in both smooth and striated muscle types so perhaps this could work. Furthermore WE ALREADY KNOW that it is possible for arector pili to regenerate under the right circumstances. Aka non stat3/AR/il-6 dependent hair. These follicles have NO PROBLEMS growing in the “bad” region of the scalp. This suggests to me that the bad region itself is due to the hair follicles themselves and not the other way around. During FUE hair transplants the muscle is cut from non-AGA effected hair and after transplantation regenerates itself. It also regenerates vascularizarion with the micro environment.

        2. AGA has tissue fibrosis involved

        My response:

Read the last paragraph under “conclusion” of this article:

Il-6 signaling leads to Stat3 and a target gene is activated which leads to TGF-B activation. This leads to increased collagen production aka fibrosis. Weather fibrosis can be completely reversed is a good question. I think based off of very close to completely miniaturized hairs regrowing with finasteride (although usually close only to other terminal hairs) it can be. You just have to reach that threshold in the microenviroment. The hair sends signals other hair follicles as well as to itself.
This is why it won’t just “grow on an island”. Notice how while using fin it is almost always the hair closest to the “healthy hair” that becomes “healthy” again. You are not getting high enough good signals in AGA
effected hair with just fin to regrow just a random spot of hair out in the middle of no healthy hair.

Also in this article, it talks about increased Stat3 causing graph-vs-host disease. Guess what? You guessed it. In graph vs host disease hair follicle growth was allowed by topical JAK/Stat inhibition

        https://www.baldtruthtalk.com/threads/23829-Takahashi-Lgr5-preserved-using-topical-Ruxolitinib-for-GVHD-hair-follicle-recover

So hair was regrown with topical JAk-stat inhibition now in Graph vs host disease, HUMANS with Alopecia Areata, and normal mice hair cycle…I’m telling you guys I
really think this is going to work in AGA as well if applied topically in heavy enough concentration while also targeting AR/DHT.

        3. Premature cellular senescence in balding dermal papilla:

Once again, IL-6 and Stat-3 which are heavily increased and expressed naturally in all
tissues with age, is a big culprit in this one.

        http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3876432/

—-much more I could say and link to in regards to overexpressed stat3/il6 reorganization of hair follicle stem cells, increase in skin cells, sebaceous gland enlargement etc. but got to get back to school work for the moment.

  93. Jak will work for sure.. I think they are trying to make their own jak lotion as they can’t use pzifer made ones…. And it’s expensive too… Dude no company can buy a possible cure bcos they don’t make that much money.. Say if jak works every one will start using it… People who are using current treatments are like 2% of the hair loss sufferers… So no company is rich enough to pay a cure.. Even if they are they will buy the cure and release themselves.. Why do you believe in this conspiracy shit…

  94. Matt these jak drugs are already fda aproved, you even wrote that in your comment. then later you say it needs 8 years for fda aproval. It’s been done they need to just combine them and make a topical…. come on, get it done!

    1. Needs 8 years to be approved for AGA. They can’t just repurpose a drug. Hence why you would get it off label. They’ve been approved for other purposes but not AGA. Same situation as finasteride. Was already approved for BPH and side effect was hair growth. So some went to doctor and had prescribed the approved drug for a purpose it isn’t yet approved for. The difference here is the additional step of needing to be made into a topical.

  95. It would just be nice to know if there was a light at the end of the tunnel. Like even to hear, “yes Jak works and regrows back an NW2 hairline in months, but we wont release it for 5 years.” Id be ok with that because for those five years I could try to maintain, or even rock a hair system a couple years before I finally was able to take it. Its this not knowing BS that sucks. You always see these articles on how a new drug is the potential cure, then it goes away and you don’t hear about it for ages. Arghhhh

  96. Message to all scientists, spokespersons and others. It would be nice to stop doing meetings and give to all of you ( people with androgenetic alopecia) a safer and more effective treatments than current treatments. They really deserve it.

  97. i would really request it from admin to shut down this cry-board. nothing more than mere frustration… we went to moon and still AGA, scientists should be bald….etc

these people actually think it is an easy equation to solve and fix.. oh yeah we havent tried anything for 2016 years… what makes you think we will find it now?
quote from Spencer: i thought when fin was first introduced, had only limited amount of years ahead of me that I can lead this community… almost 20 years and here we are still..
people criticize him because of not making time for future treatments. guys, honestly what treatment is there to discuss? name me one treatment with EVIDENCE (photo)?

    1. Honestly I don’t get your point. Do you actually believe that the ultimate treatment will ever be available or not?

I keep reading reports all over the place that the cure might really come soon, and believe in it. What annoys me is that not being a specialist, it is very difficult to understand how close the progress being reported is to an actual treatment and how good that treatment might be.

And yes, it is frustrating. You have a problem with that?

I never said this was “easy”. But seeing what medicine can do nowadays, I think issues of equal or greater complexity have been addressed.

My opinion about why this hasn’t been solved yet is because the endeavors to find a cure are not focused enough, they are too fragmented with different research groups just testing various “novel” approaches and when they fail, discontinuing them.

But like I said in the beginning, I am hopeful. Who knows which technique currently being researched into might turn into a future treatment.

    2. No offense, but if you think this is just a “cry board” then why do you come here yourself? No one is forcing you to read anything you see here, or making you come to this board as often as you do. Suggesting he shut down the board due to balding people talking about being bald on site dedicated to baldness is hardly fair.

People are frustrated. And why shouldn’t they be? No one is claiming it to be a simple cure. But im using the same treatments to combat MY balding that my own father used when he was my age to combat HIS hairloss with the same crappy results. After all this time not one other treatment has been released, and no one but balding people care.

      1. People are frustrated because current treatment DON’T WORK AT (POOR RESULTS) ALL AND HAVE A LOT OF SIDE EFFECTS! Is very easy.

    3. I get your frustration. We are all frustrated. But to suggest they are not close I believe is wrong. Maybe you are right in the sense that it won’t be reversible without hair cloning technology. But I think far more is known now about AGA and it isn’t just the simple “DHT + bad AR = bald” equation. But I also don’t believe it is as hard as some have suggested. I thin k a few critical players are causing the whole phenotype. We have known that androgen is a key player for a very long time. What we haven’t known is what are the other key players/interactions with androgenic hormones. I think out of the maybe hundreds of “bad” AGA factors that maybe 3 or 4 are the root cause of all the others. It has just been a matter of finding which ones they are. And i think now they are closer than ever to pinpointing them.

And the fact is when you live in a capitalist society with government regulations and a profit incentive, it means things can take a while. You don’t want your competitors to be right on your heals if you are right so you are releasing dated information to them, so you always stay ahead. Then when something does work, it has to go through the risk doesn’t outweigh the reward for the product test. I agree that regulations are too tight and take too long with way too much government bureaucracy involved but you really do need them.

  98. thats not the point. spencer talks about ht all the time because it makes him money, most guys, including me don’t want to get their heads carved up. he makes money promoting hair transplants and doesn’t even get one himself. we need to get rich and poor guys together to fund our own lab that can make something for us to at least stop the shedding and get a little growth is what we need. many famous people with big bucks and hair loss, we just need someone to get it together, organize, supervise etc.

  99. my opinion AGA is almost impossible to cure.. I even think my AGA is some sortof different than yours.. thats why some medicines are working out just fine for some..

let really get real here. I give this example at least 10times here and i am going to repeat that to you all again. we managed to clon Dolly almost 20 years ago… how come we havent made a single headway ? i am just being realistic here.. and i dont believe anyone of the treatments mentioned above until I see photos.. yes not a single one.. I wanna see how it works in crown, temples…etc…

  100. HT industry is worth 800 Million a year and only in the US… so this is guaranteed per year.. do you really think they would do it for balding people…for a good cause, sympathy!? do you see a pattern here?! It’s in your face!!! We need to keep positive, true but, not believing in any bs that comes out giving hopes that will be in 5 10 or gazillion yrs… Ideally everyone would stop using minoxidil. Fin. HT and this fake industry would simply collapse allowing the necessity of doing better treatments. Why chemo and radio are the best for cancer?! Because it’s the only tx they sell.

  101. why u guys dont understand technology at hand is not advanced to be able to find the cure….

simple example… light bulbs.. LED technology has been found in 1940s… almost 80 years ago.. did it take off? penetrate into the market? no… why? because technology was not advanced enough. This is exactly the same thing with all stem cell research stuff…there are decades ahead of us…
thats why I dont believe a cure for hairloss market..

again no one is blind .. investors know the market potential is HUGE.. more than cancer in terms of money…

my frustration is mainly to people who think researchers dont pay much attention… or mankind visited moon but couldnt cure hairloss…etc. honestly this type of ignorant comments touches my nerve…

    1. Not at all bigger than the cancer market, do you know what percentage of people get cancer in their lifetimes? And what it does to your life?…and usually results in a terrible death. Why are their so many comments about random craap on here? Keep to the post or dont comment, its insane and hard to even bother to read to find a legit comment. Seriosly…

@danitello. We have a lot of treatments in the pipeline: Breezula, Bimatoprost, SM, Setupiprant, Brotzu lotion, “Follica”, BMD-1341, Histogen, Replicel, Taiwan Technology, Tsuji Labs, Lauster, JAK inhibitors, “Pilofocus”, Dr, James Harris technique and OTHERS! Do you really think MPB won’t have a new treatment very soon? I’m not agree with you. And yes scientifics are doing the best in their labs of course. A lot of respect for researchers please. Thanks.

Continuing to talk about no treatments and cure in the horizon….continuing…people ARE working very very hard.:)

  104. Guys, nobody compared cancer market with the hairloss market and it’s impact!!! ..ignorants will simply perceive the message they want and start to shoot down every comment. Mine ia valid as from every body else in this blog.
Since it is so ridiculous can you answer me this:

1since we have so many breakthroughs from those great researchers, why we don’t get to see pictures ? Even the hedgehog picture was so weak..omg. somebody should call animal rights on those people..poor mouse.
2 why the postponing of launching products into the market?
3 they are waiting on effective treatment? How about those dercos aminexil and all snake oils alike in the market??? Why they were launched? Can you tell me why?

Amazes me when s**** hits the fan like Ebola…They run against creating an antidote…I’m not talking about approvals FDA etc. but I’m talking about the technology to have an antidote in such short time…

Nobody said anything about impact and cancer market…just to tell you that the only drugs available that btw,is proven to take you nowhere., are the only ones available. You might think it doesn’t cost you anything if you re being covered by the state but believe me…It costs a fortune to the state to give you that tx.

Do you guys have meal vouchers or any sort of incentive to support these ppl?!

  105. Wow this blog has gone to shit fast lol. Admin I think you should close this thread because it’s turning worse than my conspiracy theories haha. The only thing I will add to this which I find shady is that brontzu claims that his lotion works for aga yet he doesn’t show any pictures of it, only AA. I give him till July to post proof that his lotion can grow hair for aga. If he doesn’t or pulls some sht that it needs further testing, then you have your answer that it doesn’t work. We are in an age where we deserve yes or no answers. No more bsing us. Tired of these false hopes. Just use the shit on a mpb man for 6 months take the fking pics and post it online so you can prove it’s success. If not just sell it for AA and stop messing with our heads. This goes for jak as well.

    1. I think most of us here agree on the main culprits being the disintegration of the comments sections. A couple of losers who have nothing else to do in their lives:-) I hope you pick the same culprit names as I do mjones!

  106. I cant wait till the admin makes a post about hair pieces . That should bring out the haters in full force . I can see it now, oh look, even the admin has lost hope . Mass pandemonium, lol.
